An employee from a nursing home brought into work a basket full of six goopy-eyed kittens to get help. She had stumbled upon the little kitties near a hay bale, where their mother had made a nest. However, that hay bale was removed and never returned. “Once the hay bale was gone, the momma started hissing at the wee kittens and refusing to feed them,” said Jean, animal rescuer and fosterer.
She quickly scooped up the kittens and got help. Luckily, a foster family was ready to take the little ones in. The squirming fur balls were given antibiotics and deemed in good health, as long as someone would take vigilant care of them.
However, since the kittens were so young, they had to be hand-fed around the clock until they were old enough to eat on their own. But now they LOVE being held and adore all humans since they are used to being cuddled by humans all the time!
After many sleepless nights, the kittens have been nursed back to health! Look how bright-eyed and happy they look!
Definitely ready to explore and play!
We are happy to say that all six beautiful kittens have been adopted out into their forever loving homes. Our best wishes to the kitties and their new families.
